🍏 Classic Apple Crumble
Serves 6
🛍️ Ingredients:
- 5–6 apples (Bramley, Cox or your local favourite)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 120g plain flour
- 100g cold butter, cubed
- 75g brown sugar
- 50g oats (optional but recommended)
🦄 Method:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (fan 160°C).
- Peel, core and slice the apples. Toss with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, rub butter into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in sugar and oats.
- Sprinkle the crumble over the fruit and bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.

- Add a pinch of ground ginger or nutmeg for spice lovers
- Leftovers make a cracking breakfast with yoghurt
- Works just as well with rhubarb or blackberries when in season
